Privacy Policy
How we handle your personal information.
Last updated: 3 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how AussieBetCasino ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores and protects your personal information when you visit this website. AussieBetCasino is an independent information and review site about licensed Australian betting operators. We are not a betting operator and do not accept bets, take deposits or process payments. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

2. Information We Collect
Information you provide
When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, subject and message content.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data such as IP address, browser type, device and operating system;
- Usage data such as pages visited, time on page and referring URLs;
- An age-confirmation cookie that records that you have confirmed you are 18 or over;
- Advertising click identifiers (for example, the Microsoft Click ID /
msclkid) passed in the URL when you arrive from an advertising campaign, used for attribution.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your enquiries submitted through the contact form;
- To operate, maintain and improve the website;
- To measure the performance of advertising campaigns and referrals to operators;
- To comply with legal obligations and prevent misuse.
4. Advertising & Affiliate Relationships
We earn commissions when visitors sign up with operators through our links. To measure these referrals we may share click and attribution data with advertising platforms (including Microsoft Advertising) and affiliate networks. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the privacy practices of the operators you visit — please review their own privacy policies.
5. Information Sharing
We may share information with: our hosting and content delivery providers (including Cloudflare); analytics and advertising partners (including Microsoft Advertising); and affiliate networks for referral attribution. We do not sell your personal information.
6. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy. Analytics and advertising cookies are only set after you give consent through our cookie banner. You can review or change your choices at any time via the "Manage cookies" link in the footer of every page.
7. Data Retention
Contact-form messages are retained for up to 24 months. Technical and analytics data is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes described above.
8. Your Rights
Under the Privacy Act 1988 you may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you, and you may withdraw consent for non-essential cookies at any time (see Section 9 for step-by-step instructions). To exercise these rights, contact us through the contact form. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au. If you are located in the EU/UK, GDPR rights (access, erasure, portability, objection) also apply.
9. Your Privacy Choices: Consent, Personalised Ads & Opt-Out
This section explains, in practical steps, how you control the collection and use of your information — how to give consent, how to withdraw it, and how to exercise your opt-out rights.
9.1 Giving your consent
When you first visit, our cookie banner asks for your consent before any non-essential cookies are set. Choose Accept All to consent to all categories, or Customize to enable only the categories you agree to (Analytics, Advertising). Strictly necessary cookies (security, age-confirmation and your consent choice itself) do not require consent because the site cannot function without them.
9.2 Withdrawing your consent
- On this site — click "Manage cookies" in the Legal section of the footer on any page, switch off any category and select Save Selection. Your new choice takes effect immediately.
- In your browser — delete stored cookies in your browser settings; this clears any consent previously recorded, and the banner will ask again on your next visit.
- By request — to withdraw any other consent, contact us through the contact form.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdrew it.
9.3 Opting out of personalised (interest-based) advertising
In addition to rejecting Advertising cookies in our banner, you can opt out directly with the advertising networks:
- Microsoft Advertising — opt out of personalised ads at about.ads.microsoft.com/en/resources/policies/personalized-ads;
- Your Online Choices (Australia) — youronlinechoices.com.au;
- Your Online Choices (EU/UK) — youronlinechoices.com;
- Digital Advertising Alliance (US) — optout.aboutads.info.
An advertising opt-out is usually stored as a cookie on the device where you set it, so you will need to repeat it on each browser or device you use, and again if you clear your cookies. Where a browser privacy signal such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC) is legally recognised in your jurisdiction, we treat it as a valid opt-out of personalised advertising.
9.4 Opting out of direct marketing
We do not currently send marketing email. If we ever do, every message will include an unsubscribe link. In addition, under Australian Privacy Principle 7 you may at any time ask us not to use or disclose your personal information for direct marketing — send the request through our contact form and we will honour it.
9.5 How we handle your request
We action consent-withdrawal and opt-out requests without undue delay and free of charge, and we will not degrade your experience of the site because you exercised a privacy choice.
10. Children
This website is intended only for individuals aged 18 years and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
11. Security
We use HTTPS encryption and reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
12. International Transfers
Some of our service providers may process data outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure the information is handled in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
13. Changes & Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version. For any privacy question, use our contact form.
